So I got in the car to go to work this morning and it wouldn't go into gear again. The clutch isn't releasing. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this tells me that one of the cylinders is bad. I got a new master AND slave cylinder (they weren't that expensive), so now I'll have a completely new clutch sy...

By the way...I LOVE all the power that the new BP has. I can't believe I'm to the point where I'm solving/tweaking problems. Wasn't it just a week ago that my car had NOTHING under the hood? I must say...it feels good to know that I did all that work and in the end...it definately paid off. Now if I...

OK. So I had a slight shifting problem: fixed. I used the wrong bolt in the linkage. Now my clutch won't fully disengage. I had to bend the pedal stop so the pedal sits like a foot off the floor and lengthen the rod that goes to the master cylinder. So my question is...what it my problem? Is it the ...

The clutch disc was marked "flywheel side" and I put that side toward the flywheel. An update though... I replaced the bolt in the linkage (I used the wrong bolt) and that got the car into gear, but it's still tough to shift. I figured out that the clutch wasn't disengaging all the way, an...

By the way, the motor and tranny are out of an EGT, as well as the manual shifter assembly. I did the BP swap as well as a manual swap.

BP won't shift when car is running...

I just put in my new BP, started it, everything works great...except the shifter. When the car is off, I can shift into ALL gears, including reverse. But when I start the car, the shifter won't go into gear. It's like it's hitting something in every gear. It doesn't matter if the clutch is engaged o...

OK...so here the REALLY BIG news...I STARTED THE CAR TODAY! It felt so good to get it running. It was a little rough for about 10-15 minutes, but then, all of a sudden, all the loud noises stopped and it just purred. I guess it just needed to get re-lubricated after sitting without fluids for so lon...

Here it goes... Axles...check. Shift Linkage...check. Belts...WTF? I got the belts for the car, but I guess since I have sort of a frankenstein under the hood the belts don't fit. I'm using the BP motor with the B6 power steering pump and compressor, and the alternator from a GS. So I guess I have t...

Well I got the new motor in today. Everything is pretty much together...except I have a little problem. The axles seem to have some kind of ring around them to hold them into the tranny. I can't seem to get the axles in with the rings in place. Any tips? Other than that, everything's all good. Tomor...

Alright...tomorrow's the big day! I got the engine and the transmission put together, and all the brackets, nuts, and bolts that go on them. Getting the clutch aligned was a pain, at first but once I figured out how to use the tool correctly, it wasn't that bad. So everything's in place, all my tool...

The wiper switch and all the circuitry for the intervals and such are inside of the column switch housing. If the switch is bad, I'm pretty sure you have to get a whole new column switch. I guess it could also be your wiring, but my first guess is that the switch is bad.
