Ok here i will need to disagree. While car is working , with timing advanced revs speed up, and if you remove the pin while its on you can hear the revs drop back down. If you set the timing with car on, turn it off remove the pin ad start again it still works with advanced timing/revs. Unless i don...

Ok here we go, my experiments for today. I tried both ways witha nd without the jumper, and jumper is the way it actualy made any difference. As you turn the distributor manualy without any jumper you will notice that atheres no change in RPM as ECU learns. Now when you have the jumper set, as you t...

Ks from your eunos/mx3 50L tank?
My economy suks hard, from full tank i only mana ged to get 340Kms which is pethetic from a 50L tank.
Its half highway driving and half city, both driven at grandma style, no thrashing or hard take-ofs,
Any reasons as to why such poor economy? I use 98ron btw,

Advancing timing on Eunos 30X 1.8L

Considering the engine is made to run on 90 Ron i run 98Ron so i need the benefit out of my extra 8 ron. I first tried to advance it to 3, no pin, advanced it to 5, no ping, advanced it 15 no p...

Well it was in the owners manual, the one where they only help you as far as changing oil filter plugs etc, not the actual Gregorys book where they go into detail how to pull the engine apart etc, so was just wondering maybe they asumed you only add 5.8L if you drain the oil from drainage plug, with...

Amount of oil needed in box? 5.8L with or without pan sum?
I just replaced the oil filter inside the auto box, and in the eunos owners booklet it says that box holds 5.8 litres, but i asume they dont rely you to pull off the g/box sump and drain the oil from there as you change the filter. So do i need to add extra oil to make up for the drainage from the s...
