New look versus old look

Got my car *almost* done...still some small things to do....and had it in the city to see one day of Powerama. Went to Canadian Tire to pick up some wiring connectors and saw another MX-3 in the parking lot. Had to park next to it and get a pic of the difference. http://www3.telus.net/public/crash23...

It doesn't change the way it runs at all - it just makes it die at random times, then start again without changing anything. It's like having a switch that shuts off the gas to your car, killing it immediately.

It runs, then dies, the amount of time before it dies varies, and it will - after sitting for a minute - start up again. Anyone dislike you? Those are the same symptoms you get when someone's put a plastic bag in your gas tank. It floats around until it gets to the feed, suctions against it and kill...

It was in the center console, just behind (firewall side) of the shifter.

The thing that gets me is that it was screwed on. Who hides something like that...especially when they then forget about it?

I tossed it - don't need the trouble :D

She's been released from the hospital and is at her parent's place. She wasn't supposed to be out of the hospital yet, but that place is an utter joke. It's a small town hospital, and it's really more of a senior's home than a hospital. There are only three nurses on duty at any time, and the doctor...

Tearing dash apart...and find drugs?

While taking apart the lower section of the dash, I came across a very unexpected surprise. Two sandwich-sized bags of pot. The stuff is just about dust, so it's been in there for quite a while - definitely far longer than I've had the car. What's the weirdest thing you've found in your car? A quest...

Someone had one on cardomain that showed putting them in with only minor cutting. His lights, unfortunately looked nothing like mine - which took cutting. Somewhere out there, there's a set that only requires cutting down the roughly 1.5" that it needs to fit in the original mount location. Goo...

You guys are talking about two totally different things. No point comparing LOUD to QUALITY.

Quality speakers are almost always also loud. Loud speakers are rarely also quality.

Like I said - if you find THE RIGHT LIGHTS, they work without cutting the car itself - and only some relatively minor reshaping of the light body itself. There are at least five styles of 01-03 Civic lights out there - that's how many I've seen while searching for my own. There's at least one of tho...

Not going to Powerama, don't care anymore.

At 4:00 p.m. today, I got a phone call to let me know that my girlfriend had been in a rollover in her delivery van - works for a florist. I zipped down to the hospital in the town she was near, and passed the scene of the accident on the way. The roof of the van is collapsed way in on the driver's ...

Well this SUCKS. Just got a call and FX Designs won't be in Powerama. He didn't hear back from them on his registration and assumed everything was OK. Turns out, it's not. They didn't get it, or didn't get a complete form of it, and now there's no room. The car will be in the parking lot - Saturday....

Apparently if you can find JUST the right style of Civic projectors - there are several variants within the 01-03 spectrum - you just need to do some fairly minor trimming, relatively speaking, to the light housing and they'll bolt in easily enough.

Anyone in Edmonton?

The car will...fingers crossed...be ready for Powerama, and in the show in the FX Designs booth. Hope some people can stop by and see it, then give me some feedback here. The exterior will be, for the most part, done. Still some small things to change. The interior will be the project for the next m...
