Topic: dangers of running dry nitrous??

You can hook up your nitrous kit to a seperate button, but it usually isn't recommended. Reason being is if something happens and you panic your first instinct is to let go of the throttle. Your hands usually tense up and if you're holding a nitrous button on your wheel you may not let it go. Anothe...

I've heard of many people having to upgrade alternators on the mx3 just for stock purposes. I have the same problem you describe. When my bass hits my voltometer drops between 13.9-13.1 volts. When it's a real hard bass that is sustained, the rpms drop below 500 sometimes. Your rpms drop cause you a...

Just something I've always considered when thinkin about moving down a grade in gas.... When I have a gas light, or otherwise feel the need to refuel, my car has never taken more than 10 gallons. Gas prices here are currently approx 2.95, 3.05, 3.15 for the reg, mid and high grade respectively. If y...

Re: which valve cover gasket?

Sup guys I am about to buy a valve cover gasket. There are two available for my car. I have a 1993 mx3 L4 1.6L. THe valve cover says DOHC and the 4 spark plugs are right in the middle of the valve cover. He says his valve cover says DOHC right on it. This means either the late model year or a motor...

that's why we get the visor things!!! not just for smokers anymore!! LOL. That's funny. I've noticed that also, but I found mine out while driving and I hit my washer fluid with the window down. I guess just don't roll down the window when you will have any kind of water near the windshield or roof...

The only thing that comes to mind would be the PCV valve, but I've never experienced the symptom you describe. Total shot in the dark. Pull the pcv valve out, pull it off the vacume line and shake it. You should hear it rattle back and forth a lil bit. Also check the dipstick when the car is running...

The air flow sensor will just go inbetween two pieces of the intake piping with the silicone couplers. It installs inline. My filter is sitting right on my maf right now cause I don't have a real intake for it.

Your SOHC cold air intake should fit. That's what I will be ordering myself within one or two more paychecks. As far as the motors go definatly do some searching and you'll find there are probably two that will offer the gains you are looking for.

I heard our cars have the VICS, but I don't feel the power at that rpm. I found a description of the VICS system on page F1-109 on the online repair manual, but something troubles me when looking at that page. It shows much higher torque in the lower-mid rpm with the VICS closed. Hence, wouldn't it ...

Take that kit back to Napa. If they sold you the wrong part or a part that wont fit let them deal with it. If you look on ebay for an intake for the MX-3 they only have SOHC models. EVERYTHING I have seen and heard says these will fit on our cars with either no or little modifications. I will be ord...

It would have to be a gas power leaf blower. I think one of the reason the electric superchargers don't work is the amount of power they draw to produce the airflow that leaf blower produces. But yeah, otherwise they would work.
