Will that work for the DOHC? Sorry, I should have specified that in the first post. I'm probably going to end up with just the AFC but just wanna keep my options open. Thanks for the help!

If you are really looking for a good alternator, don't worry about the boneyard one. You could just have the stock one rebuilt, and rebuilt even better. I am going to have my rebuilt as well, but I'm going to have them hop up the unit to run about 190 amps. I want to run a fairly modest audio system...

I've heard that the alternator in the 1.6 is vairly weak ( my brand new one only puts out 60a ). A lot of people have been putting on the 1.8 alternator rated at 90a and I guess all you have to do is swap the pully and mount it upside down.... regular wiring hook up works with it.

New ECU for stock 1.6 turbo?

Hey, I'm trying to get everything together to plan a turbo conversion on my stock B6. I've seen a couple guys on here who are running this currently and wanted to know if you had to change ECU's to make it work. Unless I need a new one I will probably send mine into Jet and have them flash it to mat...
