Be careful if you decide to upgrade your fan. Back in my 4 wheeler days, I had a buddy with an 85 Toyota Pickup... wanted to get rid of the stock fan (research showed that yanking away the belt driven fan for an electric replacement would boost the hp on the motor). Well yeah, it boosted the hp when...

I've got to go with the civic, purely because of the fact they are played out. Upgrades are redily available, and it is much more expensive to build an MX-3 DOHC. When it is all said and done, the MX-3 can be made much tougher and faster, but for someone who wants to build a cheap little pocket rock...

A roll bar is an awesome mod for safety as well as stiffening up the car. Just the basic six point should do the trick, and any welding or muffler shop might be able to help you out getting the custom fabrication done. You have to figure with that cage welded in six different spots, whenever your ca...

Thanks josh... i was trying to remember a lot of the research i had done and really was trying not to give bad info. I want to back up the arguement for the turbo stock B6 DOHC. Yeah, parts might be a little less easy to find, but for the people who only have this one method of transportation, hoppi...

105HP stock and the NGK's are stock to the best of my knowledge (I had em too). But they're likely 10 years old like the car and badly in need of a change.

OUCH! Two grand for a kit, and you still probably gotta buy a piggy back or stand alone f/c.... I'm gonna have to stick with my 323/miata frankenstine project.

What type of oil are you using? I had that problem with penzoil (stupid wax based sewer sluge). I have sense switched to castrol gtx and I'm still having the problem but it has gotten better. One thing I havent gotten around to trying is a makeshift engine flush. Buy enough oil and filters for two o...

Rear Spoiler or this shade.

Hey, I apologize if this topic had been done before, but I couldn't find anything. I'm trying to figure out how to get this shade http://www.mx-3.com/brochure/images/hatchshade.jpg or my boy says he's seen spoilers that mount up top too. Any ideas? Also, I got my windows tinted all around and they c...

I feel your pain bro. Had to do a fair share of maintnance on my car since I got it, and found out the hard way it's expensive to be a Mazda owner. I about shat myself when I was told an alternator was going to cost me $215! Lucky I had the old one with me because they wanted a $94 core charge. Man,...

There isn't much aftermarket for the mx-3, as I am finding out more and more. Anyone here will tell you that the mx wasn't the most popular race car in it's day and finding parts is hard if not imposible. The thing best to do is start tearing these forums apart. There is unlimited potential to what ...

I have had a problem with my car as well. It's only really noticable on cold starts, but when I push in the clutch to start the car, get it going, and let go of the clutch, my rpms drop. When I push in the clutch, the rpms go back up a little bit. I just figured it was the weight of the clutch on th...

Turbo Manifold w/ Turbofor B6

Hey, I found a guy who did a pretty nice write up on installing the B6T components on a regular B6 motor (it was here somewhere but I can't find it again to save my life). On his site he listed he got the turbo manifold with a turbo for only $100. This seems way too low to me, but I wanted to find o...
