you primed the fuel lines right?

this has happened to a couple people because they forgot to jumper the fuel pump plug in the diagnostic box and prime the lines.

well I wanted to grab the cams and solid lifters from a 99+ miata anyway, and the crank angle sensor I thought was on the exhaust cam where the distributor normally is....

I am actually interested in seeing if I could switch to the DIS system... I'm planning on megasquirt'n'sparking later so I wanna be able to control all that through the DIS module stuff htey have.

the oil pan is different too.... if you use a Miata engine in a FWD car, or a Protege engine in a Miata, without changing the oil pan, you're gonna have problems

yeah it works... I put one on mine... I didn't really notice a difference though. I mainly did it because the IAC valve died on my old one

the engine's running for the most part... but there's still a damn vacuum leak.... at the INJECTORS.... wtf was mazda doing using those crappy a-- plastic rings for sealing those ports instead of rubber o-rings or something? it's gonna SUCK trying to seal those injector ports (maybe I'll try RTV or ...

as long as you don't go with the Typhoon method, you should be fine. Just make sure you have the tools you'll need.

don't even bother with tuning with a narrowband... it won't do s--- for you. It's only really useful for eye candy and making sure you don't go lean.

why in hell would you use turbo cams in a NA engine.

why is this in 4-cyl technical?
