dunno, maybe cos its the same parts out of a car that can go those speeds. saves them money, as they dont have to make an MX-3, MX-5, MX-6 etc etc speedo's....

and of course having a speedo that goes to 150 makes people think your car is extremely powerful

you might be able to fix it yourself, but its very difficult to say what the problem is there.. some form of wiring issue i'd say.

pop the cluster out and see if anything looks amiss to start with, after that... I dunno, lol

not sure what the problem is... but why add oil additives.. aint nowt going in my engine apart from clean oil, on its own!!

dont think I can offer much advice, but wish you good luck with this project!! as for people saying these things are slow and all that... well, ok so they aint exactly rocket ships and only do around ~130bhp.. but they aint what i'd class as SLOW per se. maybe in a race situation, but not on the roa...

theres a few people on here with high miles on theirs, and as long as the oil is changed regularly (these things on a religiously strict service schedule of 6000 miles!) it'll probably be fine, -see how it works from stone cold engine... but it is important that the oil is changed on time... Jap car...
