what engine do u have? the sohc or dohc? i have a k&n for the dohc that i dont need anymore and its in good shape and it was used for about 6 months in the winter then i got a custom cai so yah pm if your intrested.

im pretty sure that it isnt the rings because you would have like a dark bluish blackish smoke from the oil burning and i believe that the white smoke would be from coolant burning so it is possible that the person who did the headgasket didnt do it properly. and the blocks are not the same i believ...

same thing happened to me on my1.6L DOHC it was the altenator fried and drained the battery so thats what im guessin u have unless u have a short in one of your wires somewheres and its draining your battery
