I hadn't noticed until today, but the cable of course is laying on the intake in a pretty sharp turn. For whatever reason the heat and the cable bend must be causing the friction. I have a 93 GS with an ATX and 168000 miles. I haven't had any side effects of the changes. Everything, other than a code 16 CEL due to the EGR solenoids not working, is fine on the car. It really just had an idle prob. No hunting probs, just over-revving.

Is there a screw that holds the front rotors onto the hubs like what holds the rear ones on?

Stupid me! I forgot Mazda has a gay-ass trick to do anything on their cars. The damn thing screws back in. It has notches cut out to grab on and turn the piston by the face. Thnx anyway.

I just read that rear hummer pistons have to be turned while they are pushed in. Could this be my problem? Obviously getting the tool from Mazda is out of the question.

Anyone familiar with a problem just compressing the piston on the rear calipers? I opened the bleeder valve and only get fluid out from the line, not the piston compressing.

Change the plugs if you don't know how old they are and make sure the gap is right, then go to the online shop manual on this site and troubleshoot it.
