Re: Mazdaspeed front bumper Group Buy

I would be in, like others, if it is not fiberglass. If they have a mold and blow fiberglass into it, I wouldn't think it incredibly difficult or expensive to use a more durable material that could also be blown into the mold. I'm sure it could be worth it on their end to do so... Several of us woul...

Re: my 2 cent about discontinued parts and mx-3 .com

Or Mozilla Firefox. It also contains a spell check function that works quite well. Ryan, that sounds awesome, but doesn't seem likely. I surely hope you're right, because my plans include me still having mine. That is, as long as gas is still available or they develop something that can be adapted f...

Re: (Quick question) Automatic to 5spd wiring (not in FAQ)

You're welcome.
I had the info when I was finishing the swap, but don't know where it is now. I was just excited to finish the swap and drive a GS for the first time. Figured if it became an issue, I'd dig into it.
would be nice to have the info, reverse lights are handy, and safer...

Re: (Quick question) Automatic to 5spd wiring (not in FAQ)

I can't answer all your questions. I looked at my gs, atx-mtx was completed 6 years ago, and the wires to jump for the car to start aren't on the larger connector, but on the smaller, 3-prong connector. Turn it so the connectors are horizontal, they'll be in a triangle, like this: _-_ jump the top t...

Re: cooling fan motor

The green coolant sensor, also called thermosensor, is on the side of the engine's head, just behind the distributor (the black cylindrical thing the plug wires connect to). That heater hose you had to deal with, it's pretty close to where it connects to the engine. If you stand by the driver side f...

I'll sell you a set, righty and lefty!
It'd take some work to get them to fit the MX3, I think they're longer (wider) and the curve from tail to side is different...

Re: HEATER HOSE

Coolant leaks are the worst, mainly due to how detrimental they can be. It's cool that Mazda used quick-connect fittings on the heater core end of both those hoses, yet you can replace the hose itself and reuse the quick connect coupler. It's a little tricky to disconnect the fitting, but easier tha...

Re: Fuse question

It's not really normal for any fuse to pop, UNLESS there's a problem, then it's perfectly normal for one to pop, and possibly blow replacement fuses till the problem is found and fixed.
Manual says it's for the A/C Condenser Fan, which is the fan on the left if you're facing the engine bay.

Re: HEATER HOSE

Then that's the one labeled 'to heater' in the manual I'm looking at. I'd call it the "heater core inlet hose", but maybe another manual actually provides a name. Wish I had all the manuals! Has the hose developed a leak? Many places now use bulk hose, cut-to-fit, but you'd be able to get ...

Re: HEATER HOSE

I looked at a manual I downloaded several years back and could not find a name for either of the hoses. It labeled them 'from heater' and 'to heater'. When standing at the front of the car, looking over the intake manifold at the firewall, is it the one on the right? That's the hose labeled 'from he...

Bought a manual and set of OEM headlights from him. Shipped faster than he said he would, which may have been helped by my quick payment
Good communication, and I will likely deal with him again in the future

Re: You know you're obsessed when....

You dream your MX3 broke down at a convenience store, to come back the next morning with tools and parts and find the engine's been stolen.
Hate that one

You dream that, somehow, your first car morphs into an MX3.
Gotta love that one

Re: Will this work?

You can get a Clifford alarm setup for less than that. I had one installed on my rs in 98 or 99, and it worked well till the car was parked (i"ll find out soon if it will still work, 5+ years later). I know there's several good alarm companies out there, but my experience with Clifford has been...
