The Euro spec Mazda MX-3 definitely didn't come with the third rear brake light. I've seen loads of MX-3s in the UK and not one of them has it. The Official Mazda MX-3 brochure also shows the cars without this. And my 1998 RS - one of the last models made, on which Mazda graciously added disc brakes...
