Hey, i know there is alot of topics talking about this, but none seem to answer me completely, so here's my question:

im swapping a BP 1.8L dohc into my AUTOMATIC 1994 mx-3 4cyl .. will my car's transmission hold the new engine, or will I need to swap the tranny too?

how much does it come to, to change an auto to manual ??

i'm changing my mx-3's engine ( the car is a 1.6L 4 cyl. automatic ) to a BP 1.8L DOHC .. my question is: does it matter if the engine I get is from a standard car? I read somewhere that standard cars have a 2-plug ECU while automatic cars have a 3-plug ECU .. and that they are not interchangeable ....

yeah i cant afford racing, but i'd like something faster than the 4cyl of mx-3 .. its so slow .. can anyone estimate how much a 1.8L DOHC swap would cost? approx ..
