My 1992 (V6 DOHC) MX-3 has the stock K8DE and it has 130hp, so I don't think its much different than any other year with a stock engine. 1992's have a few bugs that it seems were worked out in the 93's (TPS issues it seems). Unfortunately, the surging has nothing to do with my clutching, if it was me bogging it out & not realising it, then I would say i'm not fit to be on this website, let alone driving!!

yep, its worse when its cold, but it still does it when its warmed up.

To elaborate a little more - when I start the car it revs at about 2000rpm for the first minute, then goes down to about 1500rpm. Longer you leave it idling, the lower the revs get.
