Re: Alternator....again?
Did you take your car to the same mechanic all three times? My wife and I purchased a 1995 in August. The serpentine belt snapped on the car. I had it towed to my former mechanic. He replaced the belt. Two days later the belt snapped again. He then said the car needed an altenator. It worked fine fo...

Re: Belt continually slips
Thanks.
That's what my wife and I were discussing actually.
I think we'll hold out on this belt for a while because it's been close to $600 to replace the belt and then the belt and altenator.

Re: waterpump, Alternator belt
I had the "serpentine" belt replace Tuesday and Today it snapped leaving my wife stranded for the second time in seven days. Is there an issue with the pulleys or is it a case of a crappy belt?

Thanks. That's what I thought.
We had the thermostat, rad hoses and thermostat gasket replaced a couple of weeks ago to the tune of $500 C.

Alternator belt
It snapped on my wife's 1995 MX-3 today.
Will this cause the water pump to stop functioning resulting in the temperature gauge rising?

First timer question
My wife just purchased a 1995 MX-3.
Excuse the stupid question, but where the hell is the transmission fluid dipstick located?
