Re: what size are the back speakers?
Are you guys sure the stock rear speakers are 5.25"? I just tried to replace mine today and the 5/25-inchers I had were a little small. I think maybe a 6.5" will be better. But here's a question for all those with 6X9's: Are you guys mounting the speaker the chassis or the plastic pods? Oh...

Re: Belt continually slips
Exit, I had a similar experience with my 93 RS. It didn't get as far as snapping belts and damaging alternators but it was plenty annoying. I had taken my car into get the timing belt/water pump done and had them change the accessory belts as well (ps & alt). In about 2 weeks time the belts were...

Re: How to eliminate seatbelt light/buzzer *PICS*
Clayton, that's strange the three wires worked like a champ a for me. Did the buzzer module removal work for you? It failed for me and I ended up putting it back in. I don't know what to say except maybe double check that the proper colored wires were removed.

Javier, does the RX-7 MAF really eliminate the up/down idle? If so what years are preferrable?

Re: Clutch making a noise on pull off.
Captain Clint, by noise do you mean a quick squeak or a rhytmic bearing noise. Ask yourself these questions: 1. Is the noise is a momentary sqeak upon releasing the clutch pedal? 2. Is the noise always there with the car in N @ idle ? I'd say if the answer to No. 1 = YES, then your problem is a thro...

Re: How to eliminate seatbelt light/buzzer *PICS*
Yeah Clayton, remove the seat and pull the connector on the seatbelt control box. Pop the three wires out and put everything back together. Start her up and enjoy driving bliss. Enjoy the silence. Don't bother with removing the buzzer unit behind the fusebox. I did and ran down my battery by leaving...

Re: waterpump, Alternator belt
Myardor, No bias really, I used to be in the same camp as you thinking belts are belts. Until I had them changed on this car. On all my other cars (Hondas/Toyotas/Nissans) I've never had any problem buying whatever Kragen/autozone had on the shelf. These however just wouldn't take, so I figured sinc...

Re: How to eliminate seatbelt light/buzzer *PICS*
I know this thread is old but I wanted to post so newer members might not have to go through this. This MOD will kill the buzzer since you are physically removing it but it will NOT stop the seat belt light from flashing. I've done it myself on my 93 and though everything is nice and quiet all was n...

Re: idle issues
dude I think the problem is that your car has over 461K on the engine. j/k. I also tried the Bosch Plats and it ran like cr@p. Go back to NGK.

Re: waterpump, Alternator belt
FYI for you all, I need to retract my initial warning on all aftermarket belts. It is OK so long as its a Gates belt. I just picked up the Factory Mazda belts and wouldn't you know it, they are manufactured by Gates. And YES the ribbing is thicker on the OEM as compared to the crappy ones from PepBo...

Re: waterpump, Alternator belt
Dude, don't buy aftermarket belts they just plain suck. I just had both alt & ps/ac belts changed at PepBoys and they are squealing. Others on the boards have mentioned that OEM is the best due to thicker ribbing. You can look up aftermarket parts at the following address if you still decide to ...

Re: 20 mpg...my problem has been unfixed!
Hennassee, have you checked your O2 sensor and/or it's connector? I recently had a drop in my fuel economy from 35 to 24 and got concerned and started looking around. Turns out my connector came loose. Check that and try replacing the O2. Also has your MAF ever been messed with? Perhaps its been enr...
