yea I kind of figured if it was off it wouldnt start so I started the disty at one end of the bracket and rotated it slowley all the way to the other side trying to start the car with every tiny movement and it got closest to starting in the position I started in. Just got done looking at my timing belt and all seemed to be normal there. I do agree it seems like a timing issue but I could only get my disty to go in one way.... and t belt was good and in position. looks like another one of those times where my car just wants to be a pain in my ars.

hey waax I have a question for you as I am having the same problem. When you say your disty was in the wrong position did you just take it out and change the direction of the ears on the back? I tried that with mine and found mine to only go in one way....

well I couldnt get the car to start again so I pulled the disty off and tried to put it on the other way but when I tried to I realized our disty is idiot proof and only goes on one way because one ear on the back of the disty is slightly larger than the other. It really tries to start I get a chug ...

well im going to grab a timing light from a friend today and check to see how far off it is. But I thought that the timing adjusts itself from the computer when you adjust a disty?

ok my disty was bad it had no spark so I changed it out 4 a new one and now it seems like the timing is not right. I put it in the same direction that I pulled the other out. what should I do to correct the timing issue?

timing belt is around a year old. I don't think its my timing belt because my belt it still intact but I will check my timing anyway. Is there any way I can check timing without a timing light?

also if you do get to drag racing it or even autocross putting some ice dry or regular can help give a lil extra boost if its real hot out.

yea thats not an oil cooler its your a/c condenser you can pull all parts and not have a problem. i just plugged mine because I wasn't using egr, but I dont think you are gonna find any pipe other than at an muffler shop.
