you can get the tranny off of any protege 90-98 as long as its a g-series tranny (1.8 DOHC) you can also get a tranny off of a Ford Escort GT both of these will use the same axles you can also use the tranny off of a Kia Sephia 1.8. ok, if you really have 3000 to spend, why not do it the right way... BOOST it :-D you can probably save money by buying a BP-T for about an extra 800 dollars. if not, just get the regular engine, and put a nice turbo kit on it... you will never regret it. try to find a cheaper transmittion... i see ...

i beleive there are 3 different valve covers on the bp the square (rectangular box looking one) is the ones off of the BPT and protege the one that is kinda rounded off but kinda square (square but has the timing belt UNDER the valve cover) is the 94+ newer style BP the round one is off of the miata...

http://www.gaugepods.com i think they're one of the only places u can get a pod for our cars.... i just got mine in.. shipping was pretty fast and it fit perfectly. i got mine unpainted (black) looks better than the ugly gray color
