I used permatex and it does not leak. Its in there so good that i tried to install a gasket and was unable to pry off the oil pan. If you need the gasket lmk. You can also get it anywhere(cork style) for cheap. Look for a klde gasket, its easier to find that the k8 one.

I ended up replacing the slave cylinder and that fixed the problem.

My car had a loud tick, now after i replaced the timing belt and tensioner, the ticking went away.


Could be that the engine is out of timing?


also what are you going to do? refund and cut your losses?

Well if you are swapping because your engine blew its a good deal, if its just for performance, the extra 5 - 10 horses are worthless.

Ok I found the leak. The adapter for my gretty type s wannabe valve is leaking. I think it has been leaking since I had the valve.. nice.. Just ordered a shiny new one.. I think that should solve my boost issues.

Anyway to find out if its the wastegate? Tomorrow I will open it up and see if theres any holes in the diaphram. Im assuming I can use a vacuum source to open and close the wastegate to see if it works? I cant find the leak tho, so Im aiming for the wastegate now. I will check with soap tomorrow at ...
