Re: What size speakers in the rear towers?

They are not 6.5 or 5.25, but somewhere in between. They are a special Mazda size. If you put 5.25's in, then you will need a bracket, if you put 6.5's in, then you will have to redrill the wholes for the speakers.

Well I don't have one to trade, but if you don't find anyone to trade and are looking to get rid of it I would be interested in buying it.

Re: chirping sound coming from dash

Ok, well it's definitely not coming from the engine which is a relief. Something in the dash, who knows. Oh well, I don't plan on sitting and idling too much anyway, so I guess I will just deal.

Re: need an exhaust poll?

I've got the (in)famous Pacesetter Exhaust. It's not too bad. Although it does not quite fit right if you don't have a 92-93. You can make it work, but it's sorta a pain, just a warning. For $170 you can hardly complain about it though. The sound it just a little louder than stock. The chrome tip is...

Re: LeBra Bra

Thanks. Hey, I noticed that you made a custom hatch cover for Pioneer 6x9's. I did the same thing, except that I enclosed the 6x9's. You would probably get a lot better response by doing that, similar to how you get better response from a sub in a box than in freespace. Just my thoughts. See ya,
J...

LeBra Bra

Does anybody have pictures of the LeBra Bra that you can buy on JCWhitney? Or any other bra for the MX-3? I am considering it, but they don't have a picture of it on the MX-3 on JCWhitney's website.
Thanks,
Jason

Re: chirping sound coming from dash

Ya, it really sounded like the heater to me too, except that I turned it off and the sound didn't go away. You are right it very well may be something rubbing in the dash, because my car vibrates a ton due to my exhaust. It's a long story. Anyway, if it happens again, I will get out and open the hoo...

chirping sound coming from dash

I recently developed some kind of chirping sound. It sounds like it's coming from my dash, although I haven't opened the hood up when it's happening to check the engine bay. It sound like a bunch of little birds chirping away when I am idling. It does not happen when I am driving the car, only when ...

Re: Exhaust help

I don't think there is a difference between the 4 and 6, but there is a difference between the years. I have a 95 RS, and the mounting where you would mount the cat-back is turned some from where the 92-93 car is. I put the Pacesetter exhaust on that is meant for a 92-93, Thus my exhaust is slanted ...

Re: install HELP... PLEEZE....

Dang dude. Well, check the obvious, which is that there is a wire behind the brake somewhere and when you hit it, you are pulling the wire. If not, then check and make sure that you have your radio grounded properly. It sounds to me like you are shorting it out somehow (although I don't know how), a...

haha I don't know I guess that depends on your preference, personally I looked at that site and I think they look pretty dope. But they are kinda a rip considering it's just 4 little pieces of metal for 100 bucks.

Re: Pioneer Speakers

The front speakers will fit, but the holes won't line up properly, so you will have to drill new holes. For the back, you will have to think of some way to mount them if you want to use them. You can mount them into the existing hatch cover if it's not bent up, or you can make a new hatch cover like...

Re: Bad shifting, need input

For me it's hard to get into first unless I am stopped. Also when I first start my car up until it gets shifted a few times, the 1st to 2nd shift is rough. Like you can feel something grinding or catching. If you pause for about a half second in neutral, and then go to second, then it's fine. And on...

Re: Possible CV Boot problem or an unbalanced tire?

Oh good, that's what I was hoping to hear. I am just learning about cars, and although I feel I have learned so much in about the last 2 months, I still have a ton more to go. I am getting new rims and tires this weekend, hopefully that fixes it.
So your MX-3 is the silver one I've been hearing a...
