Here's an update. I have now isolated that this sound only happens when I press the brake in. That's why I only heard it in idle. When I am idling, and I push in the brake, I hear the chirping sound from the dash, and when I let out the brake, it goes away. Stragest thing. Anybody ever hear of this?...

That is exactly what I did. I got some mesh type fabric and zip tied it around the end of that tube, and then zip tied the whole tube out of sight when I put my CAI on. No problems to report.

Ya, lifters. Many people's car's including mine have a little lifter noise once the engine gets kinda old. It's not a big deal.

Has anybody had any experience with pedal covers? I would assume they suck compared to replacing the pedal with a real aluminum pedal.
