Re: Pedals

I bought a pedal and shift knob set made by Pilot. They are sold at places like Pep Boys and also on JCWhitney. They work good, but you are going to have to drill some holes in the stock pedals, because all those pedal covers have the worse mounting brackets that are supposed to hold on the pedal co...

Re: Airbox

I believe the hose that you are referring to is a short "L" shaped hose, and you are right it's about 1" in diameter. This goes into a plastic box of sorts right below the airbox. This is called the resonator. It doesn't do anything except to make your car quieter.

Re: Anyone ever heard of Mazda MX-6 ???

You've never seen a 97 mx-3 because they stopped making them in 96.

Re: Insurance

I only have liability, which means no collision or theft coverage. I am only paying about $220 every 6 months though.

Re: l.e.d turn signals

Good question. Honestly, I am not sure! I would only guess that maybe you would have to put a whole bunch together in a bundle to get a bright enough light to project far down a road, and that would be costly. I can't think of any other reason. They are low power, and small (at least by themselves).

A guy across the street has that car, and he hates the color.

That sounds awesome. I noticed several people from the Carsile pictures have that done to their cars. None MX-3's though.

Re: Update on my rims.....(im pissed!)

wheelmax sucks. I had the exact same problem 3 months ago, and believe it or not, it was for the exact same set of rims! I ended up paying slightly more for a similar set of rims at "whalentire.com". Wheelmax.com seems great, but when you call to get your wheels and tires, they NEVER have ...

Re: l.e.d turn signals

haha ya that's cool. LEDs are the future. I'm an electrical engineer, so I have been working with them for a long time. They will replace all headlights, turn lights, tails, etc. They are very bright (when bundled together) and last for a very very long time (way longer than the car would last).

Re: Horn

Ya, that's correct. And personally, I think our stock horns sound super weak, so I am sure that you could get a horn that sounds better for a very small amount of money.

Re: Altezza tail light Q again :)

Ok, nobody is giving the clear cut answer. The real deal is that yes the LENS is clear. You put whatever color bulb you want in there. Put an amber or red one to stay legal. Sorry that XRacing doesn't ship out of US, maybe you could email them and work out a deal?? I got mine from there, and the qua...

Re: Air filers

Just my advice, but I recommend not buying the K&N replacement filter. For about the same price you could get a cone filter and then either just use that or built yourself a custom cold-air intake. It's really not that hard to do, and the end result will be much better for about the same money.

I also got a good used OEM spoiler for cheap from a junk yard. There is a great search engine called "car-parts.com". It will search thousands of junk yards all around the country for the part that you are looking for.
