Re: blown the funk up....
Cool! just the water pump?? awesome, I hope that takes care of it for real... I don't know what year your car is, but my 94 is an easy job. I think the 92/3 should be just as easy. However, take care to remove all old gasket material, this was a PITA but didn't take me too long. But I changed the ga...

Re: WHAT'S GOING ON IN OTHER FORUMS?
OK guys, here's one from an actual mail group. My brother has a plymouth voyager and came across this:
Three trips to the track later netted me my best of the season--12.91@104.74 MPH--making my minivan the second fastest Turbo Caravan in the country!

Re: What Came First? The Escape or the Tribute?
well, and the RX7 and RX8. mazda had to deal with ford when wanting to produce the RX8. It was a legacy Mazda made work, the Rotary engine. and they did!!! and they are 100% Mazda. As I believe my MX3 to be.
and yeah, mazda has intricate dealings with ford, that's why the RX8 took so long.

Hey man, I notice you have a 5spd tranny. Would you be willing to sell it, along with parts needed for a swap? Like pedal assemby, slave cyl, bearing and clutch? Starter and ecu?

I have a 93 GS with a bad tranny. Do you have a good tranny? Mine's auto, but I'd love to swap it to manual. I have a good running engine, but it's not going anywhere.

Re: some engine/intake questions
I'm presuming you have SOHC. Yup, MAF has to be operable or the car won't be. An aftermarket Intake should come with an adaptor for it.

Re: anyone have this break on their car?
Duct tape wouldn't work on that anyway! You may be able to repair it, I would suggest a salvage yard, or someone on this forum may have one to sell. I'm just not sure if there is a fix that will work and last in that spot. Anyone else??

Re: speaker repair?
Well, I had to. It was the passenger side midrange, and it was sounding BAD. For a temporary fix, it worked fine. But I hate having had to do that to such an expensive speaker. Gotta do what you gotta do... Yeah, there's nothing of that sort in this area, going to manufacturer may work, I'll give em...

Re: GS vs RS susp components
Just took a look at the front brakes on both cars. The rotors are the same and the calipers have the same number engraved on them. Bear in mind they are different years. Maybe the front rotors on the 92/93 RS are slightly smaller than 93GS and 94RS? Oh, and the front crossmember: I'd read in the FAQ...

Maybe our car was not truly met to be modded. Most cars are just that, grocery getters. Don't sob, respect her, for choosing a great car. Big deal she's kept it stock she's just keeping it pure. We are the ones taking it apart, putting it back together with new engines and modded parts. Sure, her ca...
