Re: where is the check plug on MT of a 95RS
Myardor, I'm wondering if your problem has been solved, and what was the problem. I'm getting a similar thing now, curious if yours did this. Inconsistent clutch feel: most of the time, clutch is fine and engaging predictably. But, now and then, the peddle goes nearly to the floor before disengaging...

Re: Check engine light is on?
I'm not an expert, but I do remember reading posts about CEL and how to obtain codes. There was discussion on pretty recently. You will need a paper clip and to know where the diagnostic connector is so you can jump 2 terminals. There's also a post that explains the codes, how to read and clear them...

Evotion Spring Set?
Hello. I just heard of Evotion Springs at www.psituning.ca They have a 1.2 inch drop, for all four wheels. Has anyone tried these? I have a 94 RS with nearly 230,000 miles and the factory, yup still factory, struts are now in rough shape. So, I'm getting ZX2 struts. I'm just wanting some springs to ...

Re: 1.6L 4-cyl DOHC NEED HELP WITH INTAKE
I've done business with Corksport, have no complaints at all. They were the first business I found for MX3 parts. I would have bought their kit, but I was tight for cash and went the E-bay route. It seems their kit, PRM Pro Kit just replaces the airbox and other piping. My rubber hose (between MAF a...

Re: very upset...major tranny problem
When you were forcing the CV in, do you know what condition the seal (o-ring)ended up? When gear oil leaks out, 'seems' to me it would lock up a tranny if there's little or no lubrication. I would say take it out, I know you probably won't look forward to it, and take a look at the seal. If gears ne...

EGR system
During trying to figure out why my car isn't running right, I tested my EGR valve. Am cleaning it now but am wondering if anyone else has had an EGR problem and if so what were the symptoms you experienced?

Re: 1.6L 4-cyl DOHC NEED HELP WITH INTAKE
mostly our intakes are modified from other cars to fit ours. I have a 94, DOHC, I bought from ebay an intake for SOHC and with a little modification, works fine. But there are extra parts, and mine had no instructions. Others have used pvc from hardware stores and custom made their own, cheaper, but...

Re: Ticking Engine... NEED TIPS
Mine has done the same thing, usually because it was a little low on oil. Now, another engine does it all the time. I have Lucas Oil Stabilizer with Mobil1 synthetic 10W30, and the ticking is nuts, goes away now and then, but always comes back. I thought it may be the lighter synthetic oil not getti...

Re: Need help with Water Pump
If the water pump is loose, wouldn't it be leaking fluid? Was it? Timing chain, or belt? Had mine on for 230,000 miles, was never replaced. I would question the mechanic. Have you seen for yourself the condition of the timing belt?

Re: PCV valve and Water Termo Sensor
Hey man, I have a DOHC, but the location may be the same so hope this can help. Look on the right end of the engine, you may need to remove part of the intake system to see it. See the distributor, look behind it (toward the rear of the engine)and down a little, just above the EGR tube that wraps ar...

Re: where is the check plug on MT of a 95RS
yes, my friend, I have a 94, DOHC, The 'slightly larger engine' is my baby. I'm just not sure if mine is an RS. That's why I had the troubles I had, the Chilton manual, it sucks. And I don't understand why our books are different, mine doesn't even have 1-59, it stops at 1-48, there must have been a...
