Loud bubbling coming from fuel tank when engine off???
Hi, Today after I drove home from work I parked the car and turned the engine off - I could hear a sort of bubbling/gargling noise form behind me. I discovered the noise was coming from the petrol tank and was not going away. So I opened the fuel cap and about 2-3 times the usual pressure was releas...

Re: New Mazda logo or keep it old school?
I've changed all my logos too - I just glued the new wheel centers onto the stock rims as they are too big.

UK MX3 Insurance
Just a few questions....I'm fairly new to cars, the MX3 is my first :) 1) Do insurance groups ever go down? Why the hell is the MX3 still a group 15! 2) Does anyone know any insurance companies that give decent quotes for the MX3. I currently pay £1500 for 3rd partys (I'm 26 and just past my test 3 ...

Re: Standard Alloys - What color spray paint?
I'm from a place called Falkirk, bang smack between Glasgow and Edinburgh.
I'll probably just get new alloys eventually anyway - still its nice to keep the stock ones.

Standard Alloys - What color spray paint?
I am looking to repair my stock alloys and i'm trying to find a matching spray paint. Silver seems too dark. Can anyone recommend a good match from halfords or the like?

Where can I BUY the UK workshop manual.
From my limited Knowledge there are clearly differences between the last 1994 US V6 models and the last 1997 UK V6 model. If anyone would sell me their genuine UK workshop manual or help in any way locating one then I would be very grateful. Even the "bookshop" manuals in the UK are for th...

Re: Online Shop Manual...lets get it back online
I agree - I would love a proper shop manual and would gladly pay for one if it was easy to get hold of in the UK. Maybee an option would be to get it out on BitTorrent?

Re: Shearing sound from gearbox at certain RPM
Another thing that may or may not be related. Sometimes when I first start my car in the morning when it has been wet and cold and move off it feels like the rear axel is sticking and seems to cluck free. I put this down to the wax rust protection I recently sprayed on. Mind you it hasnt happened in...

Re: Shearing sound from gearbox at certain RPM
Anything to do with the clutch sounds bad
I'm really hopping an oil change will sort it since it seems to go away after the car has been runninga while. I really does sound like a gearbox sound though.

Re: Motor surging
Its normal for it to go to up to 1500rpm when you start it cold, its the ECU trying to get the car to operating temp. I think 2500rpm is a bit high, does it gradually go normal of does it jump down?

Not a peep from the car when revving in neutral. Sounds totally fine. Also sound definetly disappears after 5 mins of driving.

Re: For those with 17"s, what tire pressure you running
Hmm, interested about this tire pressure thing. I have always just used the info on the sticker on the drivers door for 28psi. Should I punp them up a little higher? Just noticed you specify 17", I'm just stock 15" - but still interested in optinions never the less :) Paul <small>[ Septemb...

Re: 1997 UK Model Air/Con Component Locations?????
I thought I would update and share the info. The low pressure switch in the 1997 UK V6 model is just behind and below the passenger side headlight, next to the radiator. It's pretty easy to short for testing - I just shoved a pair of plyers between the two connectors ![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Air Con Condenser Remove/Install
Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions. I'm in two minds about what to do about it all. If I was to get the part in the UK and get it fitted by mazda it would cost me £380 for the part and fitting (condenser only) and another £100 to get it regassed. Thats nearly $900 USD :( If I was to g...

Re: Air Con Condenser Remove/Install
Thanks for the info - I didnt realise I had to replace the dryer too :( I might get the part and get a garage to do it. The only problem I still have is that I'm still not 100% sure that the part for the 1994 US models will fit my 1997 UK model - they have different although simular part numbers. Paul
