changing the head gasket isnt that expensive, if you do it yourself. I changed mine and it was the first time i did any engine work before, was easy and turned out great. Only took about 6 hours for 2 novices to do, just make sure you clean the head and the block before putting the new one on, and m...

Re: dull mufflers
If you do mean DUAL, then it would be a waste of your time and money. Your i4 engine has only one exhaust manifold, so splitting your exhaust into two paths will only decrease performance. If your really set on making it look good with two mufflers (which imo is stupid cuz its a i4 not a v8 muscle c...

Re: header
IMHO If your planning on going turbo in the future dont waste your money. If you find a header or get one custom made, the gains you'll get on your 88bhp engine will be minor and probably insignificant. Look into a motor swap, suspension upgrade, or working on your current engine. $300 bucks for a h...

Re: Aftermarket intake problem
It goes into the IAT sensor, if you can find a filter to put right onto it you dont need to run it to the intake.

Re: can u have headers if you have turbo?
You realize somewhere along your exhaust you will have to put the turbo in right? If you put in the probe header, a turbo will not bolt up directly to it and a flange would have to be made. Why not save your money and just wait and get a turbo header/manifold? I think you should do some research on ...

Re: V6 Muffler upgrade
Just get an aftermarket like a flowmaster or something. They've got a great sound and they arent the straight throught can type. Or check out the pacesetter exhaust system made for the mx-3, it looks pretty nice.

Re: Using 2 SAFCS??!?
You wont be able to take out the maf because the SAFC needs it to work. All the safc does is alter the signal it gets from the maf to "trick" the computer into adding or removing a given amount of fuel. Without the maf the safc would have no signal to alter, this is why the safc is conside...

Re: Just Installed my S-afc 2
I'm bored so i thought id post my schematics anyways. This information is similar to what maldo posted a while back for the SOHC on a SAFC 1. There was only one difference I think between what he had and what I posted, but its nice to have something for both engines. This is for a '95 Mx-3 DOHC SAFC...
