Different compression testers will give you different numbers on the same engine. The numbers being consistant is the key.

If you are in Edmonton there has to be jdm engine suppliers somewhat local to you. My best advice(and i am sure most people will agree) is to hand pick one yourself if at all possible. No matter wher you order one, you never know how it is going to be until it shows up to your doorstep.

Wouldnt drilling holes allow more moisture to get in? I guess it would allow moisture to drain, but not all of it. Personally i would take them apart and clean off the old silicone and then reseal them with some new silicone.

There is a billion things it could be... tie rod ends, ball joints, end links, struts etc. Bring it to a shop and get a quote, most give free quotes.
