Yes but you have a lantis type r which is the 170hp engine. He has a different kfze.

Just wait until you find one that already has a 5 speed in it. Why waste $1000 for a tranny swap? Be patient and you'll find the right deal.

We do need insurance companies, but their rates are insane and thats why they profit billions of dollars each year. There is no way you can say insurance compaines dont rip people off.

By the sound of it he is not sueing you personally, he is sueing your insurance company so the insurance company pays the bill, not you. kf is not as good as the klze, but is a hell of a lot better then a k8.

These engines are notorious for burning oil prematurely. Definitely check for that. Have it compression and leakdown tested. Clutch life depends on how it was driven. My mx3 had 185k(kilometers) on it and the clutch still held perfect. Its around a days labor to replace. And dont even think of buy a...

With a car that old maintainence performed on it should be more of a priority then mileage.
