Now I'm quite positive it is a Toyota Tercel, although on the first sight I was thinking it's a Ford Escort from Europe

Re: mx3 safe for trips? cross country?
I drove quite regular my k8 engine up to 12 hours from scandinavia to central europe and I never experienced any problems with the car and I'd think you won't as long your engine is well maintained. And believe me I wasn't driving to slow to spare the engine since I was on the german autobahn. :)

Re: pic says it all
that's really far away of what we have to pay here in europe!
you guys don't have to worry yet…
4 Gallons are like 15.14 Litres right?
1 litre here in Sweden costs between 1.30 US $ and 1.35 US $,
hence your Gallon costs us like 19,68 US $ and above![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: Catalytic converter ratteling When hot...
I have the same annoying sound coming from somewhere under the hood. It only happens when the vehicle moves and accelerates but it's not RPM depending! It does not happen when the car doesn't move. So far I had some very different input from Mazda services what it could be: bad gaskets, ruined engin...

Re: Any other Swedish Mx-3 people here?
Hi SpaceWiz, You're not alone here, I'm actually located in gothenburg. More than 3 years ago I moved to sweden for a good job. So far I have just seen two MX-3's at the west coast of sweden. I know there are a few more down in Malmö, Karlskrona and Helsingborg. So, yes the MX-3 is quite rare here! ...

Re: European MX-3 Differences (Airbags, etc)
The differences between the European and US spec cars are as far as I know -> the headlamps have glass lenses instead of plastic lenses -> the Euro front bumper has foglights incorporated -> there is a foglamp on the passenger side tail light -> the speedo is in km/h instead of mp/h (exept U.K.) -> ...

Re: Mx-3 In Forein Gran Tourismo?
I think it's an MX-5 with a hardtop and a large wing just to make it look more like his own car as shown on his website. Maybe it's even one of those rare MX-5 Coupes they sell in Japan with a few add-ons (spoilers/wings) to make it appear more similar to his MX-3. As far as I know GT3 A-Spec. offer...

Re: Orange side blinks, what can i replace them with ?
The Mazda 6 indicators will definately work but they are quite expensive! (20 Euros p/piece) A less costly alternative are the Fiat Punto side indicators (wich are by the way available in many different colors), they will also fit with some minor adjustments to the MX-3 rubber gasket. Thats right Na...
