If you don't mind wrapping your muffler the most effective and lightest way is to get some undercarriage heat blanket. Most cars have it between the floorpan and the heat shields of the catalytic and resonator. Pull some on your next JY run, should be no charge if buying other stuff. You wrap it aro...

To anyone else wondering..
I just took the original shifter and the shorty down to the local hardware store and got about $5 in parts to make it work. It's not perfect, but damn close. BTW, I have a Ractive Civic shorty that I paid about $8 shipped from ebay (actually got two).

IMO, if you do this mod it's best just to drill into the stock pedals, it won't hurt them and barely noticible when removed.

manowar821, more power to ya. If you like what you've got, that's all that matters really. I have put together what I call a medium budget system, about $700 from battery clamps to speakers, but very solid. All of it very solid quality with the most $ in the front separates where it makes the bigges...

Very nice. I used to have a sub box/glassed into the spare area, but I was too worried about the safety of the sub. I am a little rough on my cars, esp the trunk area, tools, shopping, etc. With my new systems, I'm going to be removing one of the quarter plastic panels and glassing in the sub. Makes...

& theoretically you could fit up to a 24" rim on an mx3. The stock wheel/tire combo diameter is 24.8" so if you can find a tire that only sticks out .8" on a 24" rim then get dem dubs y0. Of course the smaller the tire's profile the ride degrades exponentially :( but this is...

because they are cheap fords Hate to break it to you, but this tranny is Mazdas' baby. About the only truely Ford system in this group cars is the 1.9 L engine found in most of the 91-96 Escort/Tracers, and does it suck! Thing is most 4 cyl cars with automatics tranny have a much shorter lifespan f...

And, I just saw the prices on the bigger bulbs like the 1156, 1157. $10, rip off. And, they're all probably POS built. I did buy some LED replacements for my car trailer from a small USA shop in MI, they did great work, but all of their stuff is basically for the trucking industry (mainly running an...

I'm just looking for the info to DIY. LEDs are as cheap as 5 cents and resistors as cheap as 1 cent. I think those guys selling those ones you're talking about are raping us. So for a 194 replacement LED that probably has a mfg cost of 20 cents, they charge $3. That's insane. If anyone has the info ...

If you mean the distance from the top to the bottom, by law (and it does vary slightly state to state) it can not be lower than the small inscription on the side that says AS1 (I believe).

Depends on what you call breaking the bank.
Most truely adjustables are going to be costly.

Because I know some folks in the business, I can tell you that most of these kinds of problems have grown out of the "Exploder" Explorer issues. Some places have been pretty strict about this all along. I have religiously bought tires from Sams Club for the last ten years. Their prices are...

Agree with the heat and flow comments earlier. Additional (note, not replacement) cooler will help. There are also supposed to be a few of the valve body passages that can be moddified and added to help, but I lost all of that info in a post on the old ERDT bb. I was in the process of planning a sol...

LED info needed

I just need some basic LED info. Not for exterior. I just want tot replace some of my interior lighting and add some to various places.
I know that they are not 12vDC and need something soldered in. But, I need to get specifics.
Thanks for your help. Bill.
