Easy as pie thats how. Its around here somewhere. Aha!. If you have a SOHC: Set the crank pulley to TDC. Loosen tensioner and remove timing belt from the cam. Now align the timing marks on the cam(one arrow on the cam pointing up and one on the back plate pointing down. Slide the belt back on and ti...

What piston/rod combo are you going to use in your rebuild? Standard bore? What Bearings? What about the block, any special treatment? Are you gonna have it balanced and blueprint? Who's gonna put it together? Sorry about all the questions, I am just very interested in the steps people take in rebui...

When I ran my MegasquirtII on my F2T setup, I only used a wideband separately to create my tune. After that it was open-loop all the way and no problems. Widebands can be integrated with many different type of standalones and vice versa. And while Megasquirt did start out as a very capable piggy bac...

I dont think there was much difference in the miata/protege heads internally.
And I dont think neither is stronger if they are all the same inside.

I've used both MSII and a TECII(currently), and I say that the MS is good in budget but not for practicality as it does require the user to have more of an understanding about ems and tuning. The TECII on the other hand not so good on budget but is a rather simpler ems to use because it already has ...

The exhaust housings are both the same. Seperate the exhaust housing from the VJ11 and connect it too the exhaust housing of the VJ14.

The best solution to traction issues are drag radials or slicks(and an lsd). A good investment, and you wont chew up your daily driven tires at the track.

And I know some guys that are boosted that have a hard time breaking out of the 13s at high elevations.

If you think about it, it shouldn't be that hard of a swap. As many Honda swaps you need different motor mounts, wiring harness, etc. An F2T swap in a mx3 is far from not being too hard. Its still not even as easy to swap it into a 1st gen non-turbo chassis mx6. Most guys on the mx6 forum will tell...

True, it does depend on how you drive.

My car, for example, is daily driven and sees track time at least once every other week. The track is the only time I push the car. I did rip the cv boot on one run though. Grease was everywhere. lol Thats getting replaced real soon.

The transmission of the F2T is a major weak point. If you start making more power or drive hard with stock levels they start to fail rather quickly Actually, the F2T transmission is the beefiest of the mazda bunch for being FWD. But given that most are 14+ yrs old and have probably been ragged out,...

MS completly controling fuel and timing, and new wiring harness created from ms to sensors, injecto...

Just make sure you get it balanced, get the seals to sit in properly, and dont overwork the turbo after you rebuild it. Thats the quickest way to get to rebuilding it again or buying a new one.
