You got it. It's the stock one on the USDM 323 GTX's and Mercury Capri XR-2's. It spools hella fast but starts to drop off after 6k, running 10+ psi anyway. People run 16psi on them but they lose effiency if the boost stays that high for long. I made a high 13 second pass at 101mph using one at 13 p...

I'm pretty sure the FE3 is the old turbo mx-6/ probe motor... This is from Drag323 Yes i ran 10.8 @ 127 1.53 60' The motor is the FE3. I have some boost creep when i go on the dyno, i'm not able to pass 5600 rpm when he creep. At 16-17 lb at 5400 rpm just before he creep: 400whp and 385 lb-ft of tor...

i don't see why it wouldnt be possible. Just very expensive... but i say get a Haltech or something along those lines and go for it! BTW IIRC by putting TWM ITB's on an S2000 and after tuning they (TWM) got as much as 40hp and 30tq to the wheels at various points in the powerband. pretty impressive....

isnt 500 kind of low for idle speed? should be around 750-850 iirc. when you say you give it gas do you mean partial throttle or WOT? what do the plugs look like? when you say GTX ecu im assuming the BP series one? what is your a/f gauge doing? the reason i ask is because after almost 4 years my old...

i still dont understand it: i took a grinder to the canister in the back (leaving the strait through perforated thrush resonator/muffler intact) and the AFL% went up 10%. but that is still almost 20% down from what it was. the only thing i can think happened is the guy seriously messed up a weld or ...

new exhaust=lower alf% ???

the previous exhaust set-up was a 2.5" high-flow cat, 2.5"piping and a flowmaster 40 series with a 2.5" inlet. On the S-afc i would get Airflow readings in the 88%-94% pretty consistently depending on how high i revved the motor. I put in a thrush muffler/resonator (2.5" in/out, ...

the baffled oil pan keeps the oil in the bottom of the pan near the pick up and keeps it from sloshing around due to hard turns or acceleration. its similar to the ones on the B6T. one thing also is that I believe the Pro LX's have the support plate for the main caps while the EGT's don't. This mean...

written by protejay from protegeclub.com: "VICS = Variable Inertia Charging System the intake manifold has 2 different paths - up until 5,000rpm the air is directed through longer, smaller diameter 'runners' to produce better torque. at 5,000 rpm, 4 butterfly valves open to route the air throug...

BP Aftermarket Cam Comparison (Faq?)

In my quest to find suitable N/A cams for the BP i got sick of cross references between sites over and over so i decided to compile what i could find for easy comparison. I think looking at the Toda specs, as they seem to be one of the front runners in the N/A realm, and reading the piece at the bot...

UPDATE: no VICS BP

well i just installed the ported manifold that i removed all the VICS hardware from. This initial driving impression was after just 5 min worth of driving. with that said it feels alot smoother. around 4k the exhaust completely changes tone (imagine vtec cross over on a d-series) and the motor begin...

you think there is anyway we could try separate builds and see which yeilds the best results? i was looking at a 1/4 mile calculator and a gutted mx-3 should be able to run low 14/high 13s with as little as 160hp (whp im assuming). I plan on the standard p/p valve job and trying those stock 10:1 mia...

14:1 compression? why? there's no need. 12.5:1 is about right for a potent N/A set-up with the right cams etc. Search in the Honda-tech all motor forum and just see what is and isnt working for those guys (i know its not the same but there are little things that help). JE pistons will make you whate...
