whenever the hold light flashes in an mx-3 that means "serious problem with the transmission" this is what mazda told me...whehn was the last time it was serviced? same thing happened to me then i had it serviced runs great....just a thought

ok the mazda spec on the idle is 750 thats for manual and automatic. thats where i have mine set. what you are talking about kinda sounds like the coolant sensor might have a problem, I think that is what it's called i can't find my chiltons.... also might not be... just a thought

No not a performance mod, just an idle fix, and you will not use any more gas in fact if you are dealing with a high idle you may use less. this just tells the ecu to remember that this is where the idle needs to be.

sounds like that is your power antenna wire... my maxima has a power antenna and that wire will give some power just long enough to put it up then stop and when you turn off your key it will do the same to bring it down.. just a thought

i've got a 92' rs and it does the same thing. I have a rebuilt transmission. and i just did a fluid change and put some lucas transmission treatment in there and it helped but not really. sometimes i don't even feel it shift though and sometimes it gives me wiplash, i know it is not any of my mounts...
