Re: Progress on the $100 Mx-3 UPDATE
How bout this guys. I got my 92 RS with 84k miles in perfect running order for $832 US. Although it was extremely dirty inside, but nothing a good cleaning didn't take care of.

Re: Stupid questions about the BP...
Thanks for the info Gro (oh and nice job on the paint, wish I had a place to try it myself) but I still havent been able to find the HP numbers for a stock BP. Know where I can get them?

Re: Stupid questions about the BP...
Hey, I got a couple. What kind of HP does the BP put out? Can the 1.8 block be bored, if so to what? And, how much should you hope to gain by turboing it? (I've heard more than the BPT, just curious how much more). Thanks

Re: BP Swap info
Is there anyone who sells JDM BPs? I havent had much luck finding an engine aroud here with decent miles on it. I have looked and cant seem to find any. Emailed corksport to see if they can get them and havent heard yet, been a while so I have basically given up on hearing back from them.

Re: Auto Salvage?
Then I guess its just a matter of finding one around here that has decent interior. Maybe I will check on the buy/sell forum. (insert shameless plug here )

Yeah, I got the brown interior too. I thought about switching in black from another, but can you swap dashes out? I mean the complete dash.

Re: is the bpt swap really worth it?
I have read that a custom turboed BP is a better set up than a BPT, but how much more does it cost to do a turbo set up on an N/A engine? I had a guy from an import shop here in town tell me he could turbo my SOHC for 600 and something. I guess it all depends on the turbo and parts, huh?

Re: Need some help With a bp
I cant help you on the idle question, but even though the battery was dead the engine should have continued to run if the alternator was good. I would say (how was it AUTOZONE put it?) ALTERNATOR DEATH! has occured.
