yes sounds like a distributor issue.
maybe even a faulty fuel pressure regualtor or solenoid.

If so Look for the headlight restore kit from BG products, i did it to my headlights yesterday.
They look brand new

NO it will not work, Sell it to me for super cheap and ill use it as a paper weight.

yes the motor will run off of the sohc ecu, not the greatest by anymeans, but should start and run....

But but but... the claims from all these parts add up to 280.

Yeah, it's a complete engine though turbo and all...and will drop right into any 323 afaik. I don't have an ECU and wire harness for it though...so I thought that might be the stumbling block. USDM gtx's are b6t's(1.6) not bpt's(1.8 ) . Exhaust manifolds/intake manifolds will NOT interchange
Kind of a harder sell with the b6t, though they are just as stout as the bp.
