I can only think of two things that could cause that problem. First, there is a horn reel on the steering column behind the steering wheel that I've seen get dry and just needs to be lubricated. Second if the steering column shroud was not installed properly it might rub.
Hope this helps

I know it won’t be easy but I do have a donor car. '93 626. Everything under the hood is good except the trans. I just wanted to make sure there wasn't something that was going to cause a major problem. For example the engine mounts. do the ones with the V6 bolt into the Rs, or is there some fabrica...

First hand knowledge only please!

I've been reading posts in here for some time that suggests swapping the 2.5L V6 into an RS which originally had the 1.6L I4 is damn near imposable. However, I've never seen anyone give any real reasons for this. Anyone who has first hand knowledge, I would love hear how it went for them. P.S. Yes I...

Re: What's the name of the boot or seal at the end of the t

Not a bad idea counting the turns, but you still need to get alignment checked. Dont want to risk uneven tire wear especially if your tires cost $150 each! If TRE wont separate from hub assembly the easiest thing to do is get a TRE separator and hammer.

Re: Problem: Leakin and Possiblby burning antifreeze

Pull off the radiator cap start it up and rev the engine, if coolant sprays all over the place then the head gskt is blown. It causes compression to leak into the cooling system.

Re: Tight Gears Shifting

Sounds like your trany has gear lube in it. Try draining that and putting in some ATF. Gear lube is alot thicker than ATF and when it is cold, it causes harder shifts.

Re: HELP HELP!

It's not that easy. I would start by checking for spark. Pull a plug wire AND a plug, ground the plug and crank the motor. If there is no spark it might be the distributor, but it could also be many other things as well (cap, rotor, coil...). Make sure you know what the problem is before you go and ...

Re: Radiator Drain plug or lack thereof

I don't know about everyone else, but my radiator has a drain plug on the right (passenger side of the car) front, lower corner. It's a plastic 10mm bolt. And no, you can't just drill a hole the radiator and put in a bolt (unless you tap it and use JB weld and plan to never drain it again). The stoc...

Re: Car will sometimes stall when i shift into neutral and a

The rear main oil seal. You can`t visually inspect it without removing the transmission, but if you take it to your repair shop and ask them to check for end play in the crankshaft. That will narrow your problem down.

Re: Can i mix Dexron with ATF power steering fluid?

You will not damage anything by mixing Dexron with ATF. They're almost idetical in every way. By the way, Honda don't use motor oil in there tranys anymore, they haven't in quite a few years. P.S. sometimes I use ATF with a full tank of gas (about one quart to a full tank). It helps lube the whole s...

Re: Car will sometimes stall when i shift into neutral and a

I've seen this problem before on a civic. The rear main seal wasn't in all the way, which caused there to be no end play in the crankshaft. Thats the first thing I would check.
