Im not really sure how you know when to change it. I asked a friend about it and he said that usually if you are having problems starting it then the glo plug may need changed.

no you do not have to replace it every time you race. if you bought the car new then i would recommend changing the glo plug out after you finish breaking the engine in. it should last longer but that is just to be on the safe side. enjoy
