It's cheaper to buy a used complete ZE than it is just to buy aftermarket 10:1 pistons.

My 1.8 ran great for 10,000 miles with a bad head gasket. Just added coolant every couple of weeks.

I wouldn't hesitate to run 6-7lbs of boost on a stock ZE. Above that I'd agree with lakersfan, the rods will be first to go.

The ZX2 struts work on all RS/GS,protege & escort models. The exact years I don't know off the top of my head but i think its something like 90-98. I have heard of people zip tying the abs wires to the strut housing. I wouldn't weld them. The inside of the strut is the sealing surface for the st...

With that many cels on it could be that nothing is wrong with the actula parts. It could be something electrical they all have in common such as a ground or +5v supply. Try testing the parts per the shop manual and seei fhtye are actually bad.

Nice find on those tires those will be perfect for what your doing!

I paid $399. I paid more since I will be attempting to be competive in SM class autocrossing. I felt I paid for them advising me on the best setup for my car that met those class rules.

I ordered my ground controls direct and they provided stiffer springs rates at no extra charge. Additional springs later on run ~$50 each. These are the smallest I could find- http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compare1.jsp?startIndex=0&width=195%2F&ratio=75&diameter=14&search=true&pa...

Not all GS models have ABS.

Your best bet is probably the ford ZX2 struts. For $150 a set you can't beat them.
