Re: interior paint help!
Do you want it to look like an interior panel finish, or a glossy painted finish?
Either way, you should get some SEM Plastic Prep and rub it into the panel with an abrasive sponge. Then, spray on a layer of SEM Plastic Adhesion Promoter.
Then, once that's tacky, you can either spray on vinyl d...

Re: Help!!! Need assistance with Cap
A resistor isn't needed. Just hook the power to it. It charges instantaneously once it sees power. You might get a very small spark, but it shouldn't be a worry unless you're installing the cap directly in your gas tank with 20 lbs. of C4 strapped to your car.
You'll be fine.

Re: Engine Flush Myths + Transmission Oil
I did the Gunk engine flush tonight and replaced it with a cheap semi-synthetic 10W40 to run out the rest of the crap for 500 miles as prescribed before going to a Mobil 1 diet.
My car doesn't have the hesitation it was having, and it's now starting on the first crank of the enine instead of havin...

Re: Who has J-spec 2.0L V6 KF-ZE
I also would rather experiment with the 2.0 than the 2.5. Does anyone know what models in England might have had the KF-ZE or K8-ZE? But what's the deal on a K8-ZE? Is it just a different head and computer? How much power does it make?
My sister's in the military in England, so I might look into ...

Re: kfze 2.0
I've noticed that the 2.0 are about half the price of the 2.5's. And I've also noticed some sellers saying it'll only work on automatic only. Why do they tell you that?
So if I did this swap, I'd need a new ECU as well?

Re: hate to bring it up again; emissions questions
I think emmisions rules vary all over. In Illinois, I think the whole state did emmisions. But in Nevada, I think only Clark County does emmisions because we're in a congested valley, and pollution takes longer to get out of the weather vaccuum here.

Re: sub question
Theroetically, you can get away without fiberglassing the well. You can just build a floor out of MDF, and seal it straight to the steel floor and use the metal spare tire well as your enclosure. You'll need to make sure the piece of MDF is sealed really good around the edges to the car's steel, tho...

Re: 1.8 in the 14's
What about nitrous or unlocking the rev limiter?
I just bought a pretty sweet condition MX-3 GS after a decade of wanting one. The first thing that struck me is how quiet and smooth this engine is at 7500 RPM's. It's quiter than my 626's 2.0 I4 at 2,500 RPM. I gotta think an engine with that small...
