I thought a bad head gasket was the main culprit usually of letting the oil and coolant mix?

Interesting. It asys it failed a California emmissions last year. I didn't get any service receipts between the dates it failed and passed. I just emailed the previous owner to see what she did to get it to pass. I'm thinking something big was replaced if she had to hide the receipt from it.

If you think it's just the remote turn on wire, you can take a small piece of wire and short it from the 12V+ terminal of the amp to the remote turn on of the amp. That will supply a 12V+ to the amp turn on, which is what it needs to activate. That'll at least tell you if it's the remote turn on.<p>...
