there is a plunger in your tranny that when you go into reverse it is pushed on and that makes the reverse lights come on my guess is that the plunger snapped and is stuck in the "reverse" posistion you prob wont be able to fix it yourself so have it professionally looked at i hope that he...

that is a peaice of crap man seriously you need to go wit momo its expensive ($70 usd for the boot $95 usd for the knob) but you will never need another one it sounds like a total rip off but trust me its worth it plus usually the only stores you can buy em at will install em for ya and give u a war...
