Re: Rear Defroster Question..PLLLLEEASE HELP!

There does seem to be a bad problem with windows fogging up on the MX3. As far as the RD, I've found that if the hatch has a coverage of snow it actually defrosts better that if it was just a layer of ice. Also, if you've had tint put on your hatch, check to make sure the tint guy hasn't Cut through...

Re: mx-3 1.6 DOHC 1994 horsepower rating NOT 88!!!

Yeah, I don't remember when the post was, but not too long ago. He posted pics of his dyno slips with it. Hey...Does anyone know the accuracy of these electronic dyno units that mount in the vehicle? From what I understand they measure by using voltage from your car as well as the G's you're pulling...

Re: problem

Just go and get a thermostat housing from a junkyard--probably 5 bucks... I think the reference to wetness on the belt is that the gasket seal between your water pump and engine may have sprayed coolant on the belt. It won't directly cause anything to break, but if the seal is gone and you loose all...

Re: mx-3 1.6 DOHC 1994 horsepower rating NOT 88!!!

Keep in mind that one of the guys on here with the SOHC took a dyno pull and got less than 88hp, so there is a chance that the 105 figure may be higher than actual hp also. Mazda just got a bunch of flack for overstating the hp numbers on the RX8 too, although there is a lot of attention being given...

Re: B6 vs. BP

Yeah...My plan was to pick up the BP (from an escortGT - which is why I wanted to make sure there are no other differences in mounts, etc. besides the valve cover - I trust there are no differences in mounts, tranny, flywheel and clutch pattern/size), build it up over the winter with cams, injectors...

Re: B6 vs. BP

What's the deal with the Ford logo on the Escort GT valve cover? It's still the same BP as in the protege, yes?

Re: New Member (New Problem)

Check the bushings on your control arm...You may feel an abnormal resistance to shifting if your gears don't line up properly during engaging.
Would injectors have anything to do with the lag in response?

Re: PRM Cold Air for 1.6 4cylinder

Hahaha...The intake does make a noticeable difference, especially to those living in colder winter environments. BUT...Don't make me suggest the maf resistor and electric supercharger mods!!!... They're good for at Least 20-30 HP... Does anyone remember where the post with the computer case fan is? ...
