The other thing is, I see that the one guy on here that boosted his RS ended up watching a cloud of smoke roll out from under the hood one day shortly after.
Maybe I should just start building towards a Silvia.

Re: Rods and Pistons
I would rather rebuild and drop in a fresh engine with the turbo assembly and so on. But I could probably get my hands on a mint B6T for about $1000 Cdn. I don't know if this includes a tranny though. Thing is...Who makes rods for the B6E and how much would they run? I might be better to look at a s...

Re: Boost Referenced regulator
So to get this straight...After base fuel pressure (i.e no boost), the fuel pressure must rise at 10 to 12 psi for every 1 psi of boost?

Re: Boost Referenced regulator
Okay, I just got an email back from a tech at MSD. He said the rising rate ratio is 1pound of fuel for every pound of boost (I assume this is beyond base fuel pressure).

Re: Rods and Pistons
In this discussion about rods and such...I'm having second thoughts about boosting my 92 RS. It has about 190 000 on it. I am wondering about these claims about the sohc being able to run up to ten pounds boost with proper fueling and cooling.
Any thoughts?

Re: Project turbo begins
Okay, I've not done ALL the research, but a bigger pump and injectors seems like a good idea if you're increasing the air charge.
I found a boost referenced fuel rugulator by MSD that might help. Trying to get info from these guys, but nothing yet.
As for BOV...Plumb the blow off back into the i...

Re: Tranny Drop HELP!!!!
I didn't have any mess when I pulled the slave cylinder from the fork extension, and I didn't pull the starter when I pulled the tranny for a clutch job.
I hope I didn't do anything wrong. Although I have driven about 1200 Km's since then.

I'm pulling apart a VJ-11 at the moment. I have the turbo seperated from the manifold (pain in the a$$ with handtools), I have the compressor housing off and cleaned. What I need is to pull the four bolts from the metal plate on the center section, but I affraid of messing up the compressor wheel no...
