little update:
I also noticed while going through my fuse box or relay box, or whatever it is (right next to the rad overflow reservoir) that the fuse / relay for my fan is not in there. Probably been like that since I bought it. I take it this is not supposed to be.

Yet another cooling system question 56K WARNING!
Ok, So after my car overheated, my compression test, and cooling system pressure test, while looking around under the hood in search for answers, I've found a leak. At first I though it was the head gasket, then the block, but I think I'm freaking out over nothing. The leak is coming from just under...

Got tested, got problems.
Ok, so after my car overheated yesterday (see http://www.mx-3.com/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=40778) I decided it was a good thing to go get it tested for leaks and the sort. I had a compression test done, and a pressure test for the cooling system. The compression test came back great, 175 PSI on all 4 ...

Well, I found the problem. I dont know how this happened, probably have a leak in the cooling system somewhere but theres no signs of it where I park. I was almost completly out of coolant. The res was up to the full line, but I decided to take the rad cap off and just start pouring in water from a ...

Overheating QUICK
I was on my way to buy some groceries, and I noticed my thermostat was almost in the red. I knew I war running low on oil. (at the low part of the dip stick) so I pulled in to a gas station right away, and it ate up a full quart of oil. I drove around a bit more to get everything lubed up, but the t...

A few questions...
Ok. I'm gonna get straight to the point.... 1) My car idles between 500 and 200 RPM after it warms up. When I come to a stop, it shudders like its about to stall, but never does. The idle will jump to a point just high enough to keep it running. What could be causing the problem?? 2) Where is the Ox...

Re: Did anyone notice there is another mx-3 in 2fast
Speaking of MX-3's on TV and in movies.... About a month ago I was driving in downtown Vancouver while at work, and drove through a movie set.. (Don't know what movie, or TV show for that matter) and noticed a teal MX-3 (92 or 93 GS). It was being used for the filming, and had huge domes covering th...

Re: Electrical Failure
Itsnot the wire for the sterio dimmer, and theres no subs in the car, just the deck. So I know it's not that grabbing power. Thewires in question are hooked up to the dimmer switch on the left hand site of the steering column, for the dash lights, not the stereo. I think I've found the reason why it...

Electrical Failure
Ok, heres the first problem. Lately my car has been acting up. The engine feels like its mis-firing, and is about to stall, but very quickly it goes back to normal. This only happens when in thelow RPM range (Below 2500) in any gear. Its got new plugs (NGK Platnum's) which are properly gaped. The se...

Re: West Vancouver Police
But if you didnt have either (Which I can say for sure there was nothing on me) whats the point. Sure you some times get lucky. And I'm assuming by the way you are talking your with VPD. Dont you think that being pulled over 48 times in less then a year is a bit excessive? I've neverhad a record wit...

Re: ebay gauges
I have these same gauges, bought them off the same guy about 2 weeks ago. I paid $21 US for them, and another $20 US for shipping. The guy will only ship via USPS Express to Canada, which is why its so expencive. And there is NO Customs fees as the product has a gross value of LESS then $50 (Shippin...
