You may have glazed your pads over.... Thats REALY ****IN rough on the pads, and the whole braking system come to think of it.

That your experiencing is the stereo built in anti-theft device. Whenever the stereo is remover from the power suply (Or the batter is disconnected for that matter) the stereo will lock up until you enter the security code in it.
