keyless entry
i'd like to put a keyless entry system in my car. all i really need is the control unit, i was thinking of going to a junkyard and getting one out of a dead car then ordering a replacement remote from whichever dealer. i was wondering if anyone knew how much of a pain this would be, and if it would ...

Re: reverse lights with redded altezzas
i think if done right and blended into the curves well it wouldn't look bad. i'd prefer to not have to cut/drill into anything that's too difficult or expensive to replace (bumper, lights, etc). the hard part is going to be finding some foglights that are the right shape though.

reverse lights with redded altezzas
well i really like how atlantamx3's altezzas came out ( http://www.atlantamx3.com/perry/redaltezzas/rt1.JPG ) only problem is that as those are, they're illegal (no white reverse light) and i'm not all that interested in putting lights into my bumper. what i'd like to do is get some fog lights or so...

Re: Procarparts reverse glow gauges
i have a set like the first ones (i think i got them from procarparts through ebay) they don't require taking the needles off but the gas/temp gauge is a little bit tricky. only problem i've had is that the inverter stoped working but that's probably my fault. they still look a hell of a lot better ...

Re: reverse glow gauges
when i put mine on it was the same way as yours (left the needles on) but i didn't have to cut mine. if you move the fuel and temp gauges so they're pointing opposite (one up, one down) then kinda twist the guage face on it should work, if not just twiddle with it until it does.

Re: help with reverse glow gauges
well i know they worked in my car, for a while. and i even double checked the wires before i just gave up. and i'm pretty sure i burned the inverter because when they worked it would whine/buzz and now it doesn't. i dunno, i may not even bother, right now i just have the lamps that shone on the fron...

help with reverse glow gauges
ok so i have my reverse glow gauges in (the kind where just the numbers and lines glow) for a week or so, hardly use them at all since i wasn't out at night much, then they decided to stop glowing. i checked all the wires and they're fine, i was told it's probably that the inverter (the little black...

Re: Power Window Lock Bypass?
if the switch closes a circuit when in the on posistion you could just go in and disconnect the wires then reconnect them to each other without the switch in between, if it opens a circuit (which i doubt) then just disconnect it and cover the ends of the wires. as for what to do with the switch, you...

Re: custom gauge bezel possible??
well if you had a whole lot of time on your hands you could probably make an entire custom gauge cluster, which i suspect would be a little more difficult. but you're welcome to try.
