easiest way to tell if its a ZE is to look between the intake runners on the heads. If the numbers say KL31 1A1 and KL31 101 its a ZE. Otherwise you'd see KL01 101 and KL01 1A1.

if its not streched thin then explain why they are complaining they dont have enough new recruits and they need to keep sending back the same people to do 3 or 4 tours of duty or extending the tours of the current people there.

Simple answer, they don't have enough people to rotate.

R/T = turbo 4 cyl
GT = DE
GTS= ZE

people started adding "R" during the whole type R craze. If it were to be badged by mazda it would more then likely be badged the mx-3 GT.

possibly the knock sensor? Looks like the wire runs in behind the intake. The plug for that is on the other side of the engine. Did you re-route that plug?
