if u do, i was wondering what i need to do the swap, computer, distributor. I have the stock distributor for the b6t from the 1991 mercury capri xr2

Sounds to me like your transmission is going. Same **** was happening to mine before I realized that I blew some teeth off my differential gears. You might want to get it checked out before it gets worse

I wrecked my differential and need am looking for a new transmission. I was doing some research on the internet, I found the the code for my transmission is the f25m-r and is the same as the 1st gen (1990-1994) Protege. I would just like to confirm if this transmission will work in my MX-3
