Wow - a fair bit of misinformation so far in this thread. Have a look at my previous post here for an explanation of the tradeoffs of shorter sidewalls/larger diameter wheels. Short version is - given the same tire make/model/section width (E.G. 205/55-15 vs. 205/50-16) at the same pressure and same...

Thanks - my daughter is doing fine now, but my wife ended up in the hospital a few nights ago! Nothing super serious, just a run-of-the-mill infection common in nursing mothers, but it made her violently ill, and she got super dehydrated. She had to be on IV fluids and antibiotics, and is now...

I'm still waiting to hear back from Koni, but here's what I've been able to find out about their racing coilovers so far: They may or may not have specs for MX-3 housings (that's what I'm waiting for info on), but if not, they offer the racing struts in two variants: First, the 2817, which is a part...

I checked with Dave at Rallispec , the only North American distributor for AST, and they said they can special-order the MX-3 coilovers in (they only stock Subaru applications). Lead time for orders will be four weeks, and the price I was quoted was $1,495 US plus taxes and shipping from New Jersey....

The K.A.W. ProfiKit is a full threaded-body coilover strut, not just a collar like the Ground Controls. I believe you are correct that their dampers are made by Koni, but they are not just the plain old inserts - they are made to K.A.W.'s specifications for each kit. In my opinion, having the damper...

Just a reminder to everyone, I can get the K.A.W. fully adjustable coilovers (height and damping) from Germany as well - pricing on the coilovers is around $2,000 CDN. K.A.W. also makes strut/spring packages with adjustable damping - these are cheaper (around $1,200 CDN), but don't offer height adju...

On this 323 GTX page they say that they had to replace the booster with one from a 1995 Mazda Protege when using a 1991 929 master cylinder for correct fitment.
Perhaps Luc St. Pierre might be able to shed some light on this, as I know he has swapped in the 929 master cylinder in his MX-3 GS?

Thanks for the well wishes, but it's not been anything too serious - I just had a really bad flu for a couple of weeks that just knocked me on my behind, and now my four month old daughter has it as well. Between work and trying to get well during my downtime I just haven't been able to make much pr...

With the standard Aircare test procedure, all they check for visually is the presence of a catalytic converter and that there is no check engine light on. You don't have to tell them about the swap at all, because they will not check for it anyway, and the motors are visually identical to non-enthus...

Actually, if you check SRD's website you'll see that Luc includes the grease with the bushings now...PATDIESEL wrote:If you read this Luke you really should include some directions and mention the grease. My other nylatron parts don't squeek so I didn't think these needed any.

Another update, some good news, some bad news: The second set of prototype brackets from my plastics guys made from my resolved design solved a problem we were having with the rigidity of the mounting surfaces, but the fabrication shop screwed up some of the mounting points, so they are no good. Des...
