Most of the comparisons I'm seeing to the type-r motor are v6's, you have to admit its very potent for a four banger, I think its awesome when you get a four cyl. with almost 200hp and redlines in the 7's and can compete with v6's. And as far as the luc guy racing the typer r, he lost.

Hey ProtegeSTS, there's a real cool video on kazaa of an mr2 beating a mustang cobra, its really funny, also temple of v-tec has a stock jap mr2 beating a 3rd gen. rx-7 and a type-R integra, the type-R ran 14's stock.

Seen one black one with a body kit and a turbo, front mounted IC, and a loud BOV. I was impressed but still don't really like those cars, I think car and driver back in the day did a track test with the nissan nx, the crx, passeo, and mx-3. Don't really remember the results though.

The type-R 4 cyl. is very potent, don't type-R's come with limited slip? I have yet to see one win any type of race, it may be that the driver sucks, I don't know, but thats not saying much for the car. Actually i read somewhere about a guy with a ZE and he lost to a type-R, I just haven't seen any ...

I'm liking the new mazda 6, I agree with it rivaling the new accord, probably the nissan SE-R spec V too.
